Gosia dedicates her practice to general business, contract and commercial matters. She works with a diverse group of private sector clients, local entrepreneurs, as well as nonprofit organizations, across a variety of industries. She provides comprehensive and practical business advice, and is valued by clients for her expertise, commitment and efficiency.  

Gosia counsels business owners with respect to legal issues facing their business, including the formation and structuring of entities, the preparation of key operational contracts, risk management, corporate compliance, financial transactions, and mergers and acquisitions. She prepares operating, shareholders’ and buy-sell agreements, and advises on business succession through various techniques, including direct gifts, gifts in trust, stock redemptions, cross-purchases and recapitalizations. Gosia works collaboratively with the firm’s trusts and estates attorneys, so her client’s needs are fully met with comprehensive succession plans that balance business objectives and personal goals. 

Gosia has experience in preparing all types of contracts, such service, consulting and product agreements, as well as joint ventures and strategic alliances. Gosia works with clients to protect critical business information, intellectual property and relationships from misappropriation by third parties and former employees, and provides counsel on privacy law compliance, information security policies, copyright and trademark protection, and brand building strategies. 

Prior to practicing at Cochran Allan, the successor firm to Cochran & Owen, LLC, Gosia was a corporate associate at Tyler Cooper & Alcorn, LLP in New Haven, Connecticut. 

Gosia enjoys speaking on business, contract and succession planning issues.  She has recently spoken for the National Business Institute, National Association of Women Business Owners, Fairfax County Development Authority and The Exit Planning Institute. She serves on the board of the National Association of Women Business Owners. Gosia lives in Vienna with her husband and two children.  She is admitted to practice in Virginia, the District of Columbia and Connecticut.
